Meet Dr. Jessica
Jessica is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is enthusiastic about working in pediatrics because it allows her to build strong relationships with families, fostering trust and collaborating to promote health for years to come.
Experienced Care
Jessica has spent most of her life in the Willamette Valley, growing up in the Salem area. After graduating from George Fox University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she spent the next 12 years working as a primary care pediatric triage nurse in Salem. After completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through OHSU as a pediatric nurse practitioner, she has worked in a large primary care pediatric clinic in Hillsboro, honing her skills and gaining valuable experience.
Serving Your Community
Jessica desired to be a part of the Small Town Pediatrics family because of the wide variety of patients she is able to care for in a hometown way. Bringing care to rural communities was one of the tenets upon which the pediatric nurse practitioner role was created and Jessica is excited to continue this calling.
Passionate about early childhood development and feeding, Jessica is a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and loves working with families on breastfeeding, while supporting families feeding preferences and goals during their feeding journey.
In her Spare Time…
Jessica lives on a multi-generational farm in Polk County with her family, which is comprised of her husband and four kids as well as a sibling, parents, grandparents and great grandparents. You can often find Jessica cheering for her kids in various sports and activities. When she is not cheering on her kids, she loves to relax by reading and baking. Jessica is also an assistant professor of nursing at George Fox University, helping to educate the next generation of nurses. Jessica gives back to her community by getting involved with her church and participating in camps and events.
