Dear Patient Family
As we head into our second Silverton summer, we at Small Town Pediatrics thank you for being part of our family, and trusting us to take care of yours. It continues to be an honor.
This letter is to let you know about a change at Small Town Pediatrics. Dr. Scott is taking a leave of absence from active practice to spend time with his family. Dr Scott expresses deeply felt gratitude for the families he has cared for, but he is leaving Small Town Pediatrics. His last day will be May 12th, 2023. We know you will join us in wishing him good health and peace in his future.
Small Town Pediatrics will continue to serve the pediatric needs of the families of Silverton and the surrounding areas. Dr. Mark welcomes all Small Town Pediatrics patients to continue the care you have come to depend on at Small Town Pediatrics. Â
To meet the needs of all Small Town Pediatrics patients, our team is working hard to streamline our operations and ensure you always have the most direct access possible to your pediatrician. You will also see some new faces as we add staff to improve your experience.
Some insurance plans may require you to specify your child’s PCP. With Dr. Scott leaving Small Town Pediatrics, you may receive a notice from your insurance that you need to select a new PCP.  If you wish to continue care at Small Town Pediatrics, inform your insurance company that Dr. Mark Helm will be your child’s Primary Care Doctor. While this is an inconvenience, this will help assure that your office visits will be at least cost to you.
If you want to be notified when and where Dr. Scott may see patients again, please send us a portal message. We will flag your account to receive an email when we learn of any future plans to return to practice in the area.
As always, Small Town Pediatrics is here for you and your children. As Dr. Mark says: “You should never worry about your child alone.”
Thank you,
The Small Town Pediatrics Team
